Retreat to the countryside and back roads of Waco. Relax together, or with friends, in the privacy of your own cottage - complete with gourmet kitchen, separate bedroom, TV, movie or music, and lots of books. Enjoy a glass of wine on the roof porch or the patio below. Breathe deep. Strum a guitar. Smell the flowers.

Go to bed to the sound of the owl and a thousand frogs. Wake up to birds singing and a breakfast of dark roast coffee, homemade granola, beacon quiche, fresh baked scones or bagels. Go for a walk on seven acres of grass and trees; look for the red flash of cardinals; feel a passing breeze on your face; talk to God.

Take in Waco, old and new. Visit our neighbors at Homestead Heritage where they still mill grain on a grinding stone and till the ground behind a horse drawn plow. Skip a rock on the Bosque River; feed the ducks below the suspension bridge over the Brazos. Take in the Waco Mammoth National Monument, or the Ranger Museum, or the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, or Baylor. Look for Chip and Joanna at the Silos (but don't expect to see them). Buy homegrown vegetables and fruit at the Farmers Market. Then, return to this cozy cottage, your home away from home, and picnic over roasted hot dogs and s'mores at the fire pit in the back meadow. And if it's clear, gaze into a night sky so filled with stars you'd forgotten they were there.

We're Tell Story Walk B&B. Plan a visit to the Waco area and be our guests. When it's time to return home, go back rested, refreshed. And take back with you one of the few lasting things you can still give yourself: the memory of a great getaway.
